The Joe Trio strives for diversity, versatility, and humour. Unpredictability springs from a repertoire that extends from the classics to popular and rock tunes. With wit and charm they engage the audience in a delightful performance.

Formed in 1989 they have performed across Canada and the United States. The Joe Trio has been heard on National Public Radio in the United States and on the CBC Radio shows Morningside and DiscDrive. In 1997 they recorded their first CD - A Cup of Joe.

The chorale group weaves musical magic inspired by African Canadian composer R.Nathaniel Dett. In the fall of 1998 the choir made its world premier performance at Niagara Falls (Dett's birthplace). The choir also participated in an international showcase in Ottawa and made its debut performance at the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto.

In 1999 the Nathanial Dett Chorale opened the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's concert season in a program that featured soprano Kathleen Battle. Since then the choir has been greeted by enthusiastic audiences in tours across Canada. The choir has recorded three prominent CDs including An Indigo Christmas on the Marquis label.

At the age of fifteen Michael Kim debuted with the Calgary Symphony Orchestra performing a concerto by Rachmaninov. Since then he has performed with the Boston and Cincinnati Pops and symphonies in Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Edmonton.

In the UK he has toured with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the BBC Scottish Symphony. Michael Kim has been a prize-winner in competitions in Glasgow (1992) and Leeds (1993). In 1989 he was the grand prize-winner of the Canadian Music Competition and the CBC National Radio Competition. Michael Kim's superb technique and precise articulation combined with his rapport with the audience has made his concerts most memorable.



The Royal City Saxophone Quartet

The Royal City Saxphone Quartet was formed in 1991 in Guelph, Ontario. Since then the group has carved its own niche in the genre of Ragtime. Their recordings have enjoyed worldwide appeal and have been featured on CBC Radio, on commercial classical stations, and on National Public Radio in the United States.

Concert tours have taken the group to ragtime and jazz festivals throughout Canada and the United States including the du Maurier Downtown Jazz Festival in Toronto. Their latest CD, Smiles and Chuckles, is a tribute to a world famous troupe of Canadian saxophonists who became stars of vaudeville in the early twentieth century. They were the Six Brown Brothers from Lindsay, Ontario.
