Kaori Yamagami

At the November 2005 Rostropovich International Competition in Paris, Kaori Yamagami was named "the most promising candidate."
Kaori began playing the cello at age three and at age six she made her first public appearance at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. During the following years she studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Recently she was awarded a three year loan of the 1696 Bonjour Stradivari cello and cello bow made in 1850. As part of Prairie Debut and Debut Atlantic she has performed in western Canada and in the Maritimes. Kaori's performances during this season include a debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
Sharlene Wallace

Sharlene received her performance degree in Classical Harp from the University of Toronto where she studied with Judy Loman. She has also studied with folk artists and with Celtic harpist Kim Robertson. Sharlene has collaborated with classical, avant garde, traditional, jazz, and blues musicians - combining the harp with flute, piano, bass, percussian, fiddle, and harpsichord - in performances across North America and France.
As an educator Sharlene gives workshops and master classes and she is on the Faculities of York and Guelph Universities and the Royal Conservatory of Music's World Music Centre. Currently she is principal harpist for the Kingston & Oakville Symphonies.

The sound of Pavlo's "Greek-Flamenco guitar" has reached over forty-seven countries and it had sold over 500,000 albums. His music is a blend of Eastern Europe, Latin American, and the Mediterranean and his talent for composition and innovation is evident in every performance. A documentary on his band was aired on A&E in the spring of 2006. Other players in the group are:

Acclarion is a blend of accordion and clarinet sounds that range from dance pieces - tango, waltz, and salsa - to Nessun Dorma and In Paradisum. Their repertoire includes music of France, Italy, Latin American, and the Middle East.
David Coravillano has a Masters Degree in performance from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. He has been heard on CBC Radio Two's Around Us and in Fiddler on the Roof at Stratford in 2000. Rebecca Sajo is the first student to major in multiple woodwinds at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. She has contributed to productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, Bye Bye Birdie, Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, and West Side Story.
